- Enlist E3™ soybeans headline one of the largest soybean technology system launches ever
- Technology authorized by China for import
January 22, Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont (NYSE: DWDP), announced plans for commercial launch of Enlist E3™ soybeans in Canada, beginning in 2019.
“I am pleased to announce the commercial launch of Enlist E3™ soybeans in Canada,” said Bryce Eger, President Canada at Corteva Agriscience™. “Enlist E3™ soybeans contain the newest and the most advanced weed control trait technology for soybeans that will give Canadian growers access to a more complete weed control solution.”
Enlist E3™ soybeans will be offered in Canada in Brevant™ seed in 2019 and Pioneer® brand seed in 2020. Commercial sales will commence immediately in Brevant™ seed, with Enlist E3™ soybean varieties available for planting in spring 2019. Current varieties will be targeted to Southwest Ontario, however robust ramp-up plans and extensive seed production will ensure that Enlist E3™ soybeans are broadly available to farmers in 2020. Corteva Agriscience™ is also engaged with numerous potential seed trait licensees and intends to license Enlist E3™ soybean technology.
The launch of Enlist E3™ soybeans follows the successful introduction of top performing Enlist™ corn hybrids in 2018.
The Enlist™ Weed Control System helps farmers grow productive, high yield potential crops while continuing to use sustainable farming practices such as no-till and conservation tillage. In Enlist E3™ soybeans, farmers can utilize multiple post-emergence herbicide modes of action to manage their hard to control and glyphosate resistant weeds, including Enlist Duo™, glufosinate and glyphosate. With near-zero volatility and reduced potential for physical drift, the 2,4-D choline and glyphosate mixture in Enlist Duo™ with Colex-D™ technology is designed for peace of mind, to land and stay on target.
Enlist E3™ soybeans are a key part of the Corteva Agriscience™ strategy to offer the most comprehensive set of solutions available to farmers through a combined seed and crop protection pipeline.
Enlist E3™ soybeans were jointly developed by Dow AgroSciences and MS Technologies. Enlist E3™ soybeans received import authorization from China in January 2019. For additional information about the status of regulatory authorizations, please visit
