Indogulf Cropsciences Ltd starts manufacturing the Pyrazosulfuron Ethyl Technical in India

Indogulf Cropsciences Ltd starts manufacturing the Pyrazosulfuron Ethyl Technical and its respective Formulations in India as second manufacturer(for Technical grade). 

Pyrazosulfuron-ethyl is a new sulfonylurea herbicide for rice in India, being developed and launched in major rice producing countries. The herbicidal activity is derived by inhibition of Acetolactate synthase (ALS) which is essential for synthesis of amino acids. The major applications of pesticides in India are found in rice. Herbicides are, however, emerging as the fastest growing segment amongst the agrochemicals contributing 24% Share in Indian Domestic Market, same time the growth in exports of herbicides, has been remarkable with an increase of 31% in FY16 over FY14. 

Addition of Second Manufacturer will make it cost effective and the company plans to transfer this benefit to the farmer community. The product will now be in the reach of smaller and marginal farmers resulting in approx 20% reduction in Price at Farmer Level owing to wider availability of the Product in India. Indogulf is educating the Farmers about the benefit of this Products through various mode of Farmer Awareness Programmes viz Live Field Trials & Demonstrations, Tele/Online Video Conferencing with Scientists, Social Media Tools, Farmer Meetings etc,” as per  Sanjay Aggarwal, Managing Director-Indogulf Cropsciences Ltd.
