KWS is growing in Berlin, too: The more than 160-year-old plant breeding company is establishing a new location in the German capital, with room for 350 employees to begin with. They will work in office space of about 8,300 square meters in a central location at the corner of Potsdamer Straße and Bülowstraße.
KWS had already set up an additional, international location for Finance, HR, Purchasing and administrative tasks at Leipziger Platz in Berlin. The new office will complement the company’s headquarters in Einbeck, Lower Saxony, and will offer space for up to 500 employees in the long term. “Our new home in Berlin will therefore be able to keep pace with KWS’ anticipated growth,” said Peter Hofmann from the Executive Board.
The KWS Group has grown steadily over the past ten years, with net sales increasing from around 500 million to more than one billion euros. The workforce has almost doubled to more than 5,000 in the same period – and KWS continues to grow.
The new premises are expected to be ready to move into in the fourth quarter of 2019 and can be used by KWS long-term. They are situated in a modern office and commercial district that offers a wide range of facilities for its users and is served by a direct subway connection (lines U1, U2 and U3).
