By Think Real - Since June 2018, a total of 3 Chinese companies have made official registrations of flumorph related products.
On 28 June, Jiangxi Haikuolisi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. obtained a registration of 25% flumorph WP;
On 24 July, Hailir Pesticides and Chemicals Group obtained a registration of 30% flumorph + cyazofamid SC and Shandong Audis Bio-Tech Co., Ltd. 15% flumorph + metalaxyl-M WP.
The said 3 products are registered for cucumber downy mildew.
Flumorph is a new systemic acrylamide fungicide developed by Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry. It is the 1st pesticide of independent intellectual property right in China and is patented in the US, Europe, Japan, etc. It performs well in prevention and control of downy mildew and epidemic disease caused by oomycete pathogenic bacteria.
Prior to this, flumorph technical and formulations were almost registered by Shenyang Sciencreat Chemicals Co., Ltd. (Sciencreat) only. In addition, SRICI (Nantong) Chemical Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. obtained repacking registration; in 2001, Jiangxi Vegcides Biotechnology Co., Ltd. made a temporary registration of 60% flumorph + mancozeb WP which was effective for only 2 years.
It is notable that the flumorph products registered by the 3 companies recently are all new products and are different from those registered by Sciencreat.
So far, flumorph (both single and mixed formulations) has been approved for the prevention and control of cucumber downy mildew, grape downy mildew, penorophythora litchi, tobacco black shank, pepper blight, tomato late blight and potato late blight in China.
