On the 30th August 2018, the 2 compounds Cypyrafluone(环吡氟草酮)(1855929-45-1,CAS DataBase Reference) and Bipyrazone(双唑草酮)(1622908-18-2, CAS DataBase Reference) created by Chinese agrochemcial company Kingagroot ® were granted full registration with ICAMA (the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs). The products are scheduled for market launch this autumn.
The patented compound Cypyrafluone(环吡氟草酮) created by Kingaroot ® applies HPPD inhibitor compound for the first time in the world to control of wheat-field resistant grassy weed, which will provide a brand new action mode-based solution to control of wheat-field resistant grassy weed.
HPPD inhibitor is one of the herbicidal action modes with least resistance risk. Cross resistance does not exist between Cypyrafluone(环吡氟草酮) and the ALS inhibitors represented by mesosulfuron and pyroxsulam. There is also no cross resistance between Cypyrafluone(环吡氟草酮) and ACCase inhibitors represented by fenoxaprop-p-ethyl, clodinafop-propargyl, pinoxaden and tralkoxydim. Cypyrafluone(环吡氟草酮) is highly effective on control of the multiple resistant shortawn foxtail and japanese foxtail, and can also be used for control of the common grassy weeds such as keng stiffgrass, asia minor bluegrass and annual meadowgrass, as well as for control of some of the broadleaf weeds like water starwort, shepherd’s purse and sarson.
The patented compound Bipyrazone(双唑草酮) created by Kingaroot ® applies HPPD inhibitor compound for the first time in China (large application in the world for the first time) to control of wheat-field resistant broadleaf weed, which will provide a brand new action mode-based solution to control of wheat-field broadleaf weed.
There is no cross resistance between Bipyrazone(双唑草酮) and the ALS inhibitors represented by tribenuron-methyl, bensulfuron methyl and florasulam, neither is there a cross resistance to mainstream wheat-field herbicides like PPO inhibitors represented by the carfentrazone-ethyl. Bipyrazone is highly effective on control of the resistant and multiple resistant wheat-field annual broadleaf weeds such as flixweed, shepherd’s purse, clivers, water starwort, common chickweed, corn gromwell, sarson, wartwort, vicia sativa and geranium carolinianum. Meanwhile it has an obvious inhibitory effect on the resistant and multiple resistant procumbent speedwell.
The 2 compounds have obtained patents in over 50 countries across the world, being expected to enter the markets of Europe, America, South Asia, Oceania and Australia in the near future. The products, in the name of Pucaoke and Huben, using Cypyrafluone(环吡氟草酮) as main active ingredients and the products in the name of Xueba, Xueying, Maibao, Xuehu, Maihuan, Manda and Ruibao using Bipyrazone(双唑草酮) as main active ingredients are scheduled for market launch firstly in China this autumn.
