Lier Chemical fully promotes mixed formulation of glufosinate-ammonium+fluoroglycofen-ethyl

Lier Crop Sciences said that since the launch of its competitive product Xianniu® (闲牛, glufosinate-ammonium) in 2015, it had received wide popularity among clients and growers with increasing sales volume. However, during the promotion process, the company came across some problems. For example, farmers have deep knowledge about the effect of paraquat, which makes it hard for them to accept the slower efficacy of glufosinate-ammonium and therefore the biggest problem to promote the new product.
Under the circumstances, the mixed formulation of glufosinate-ammonium and fluoroglycofen-ethyl was born. At present, the company has successfully held launch meetings for the new product in Wuhan, Hubei Province, Chaohu, Anhui Province, Zengcheng, Guangdong Province and Danling, Sichuan Province, drawing extensive attention from the market.
With the addition of fluoroglycofen-ethyl, the penatration of glufosinate-ammonium can be raised and so can the effect. The herbicidal mechanism of glufosinate-ammonium is divided into two aspects: inhibiting the production of glutamine synthesis enzyme, which results in unbalanced nitrogen metabolism of plants, and failed metabolism of toxic ammonium ion and accumulation of toxic stuff; nutrition restriction caused from failed synthesis of necessary amino acids for plant growth due to the blocked synthesis of glutamine.
As demonstrated by the experiment of Lier Crop Sciences, under the right dosage, fluoroglycofen-ethyl can make glufosinate-ammonium better absorbed and react faster. Based on this, the company deems the mixed formulation with high market potential and treats it as a key new product for promotion.
