Two fungicides- coumosystorbin and SYP-7017, from the SRICI(Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry),subsidiary of the Sinochem Corp, has attained invention patent authorizations in U.S. recently. This is the first time the SRICI gained foreign patent through the PCT(Patent Corporation Treaty) procedure.
The coumosystorbin has excellent control efficiency against apple tree valsa canker, sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Cucumber downy mildew. Especially on apple tree valsa canker, which prove better performance than the other products. The SYP-7017 has a strong inhibiting activity against various disease and fungi, such as wheat root rot, rice bakanae disease, rice false smut, corn southern leaf blight, cucumber fusarium and apple valsa canker pathogen, as well as the powdery mildew on wheat and cucumbers.
As a major R&D subsidiary of Sinochem, SRICI constantly introduces new invention. In the first half of 2010, SRICI has gained 10 invention patents at home and abroad.
