Rotam do Brasil presented the herbicide, Metsuram 600 WG (Metsulfuron-methyl), in Brazil. It is a selective herbicide with a systemic action and belongs to the group of sulfonylureas that is indicated for weed control in post-emergence pasture.
“The chemical control has a proven operational yield, less labor use, when compared with the mechanic, and the cost of benefit is highly favorable because it is done only once. Besides, Metsuram 600 WG offers practicality, mainly in extensive regions,” said Vitor Raposo, marketing manager for Rotam do Brasil.
The main difference in this technology is its high efficiency in the control of weeds with the common name of “Botao do Enio” in Brazil. “This plant is very common in the Amazon region (Para, North of Tocantins and North of Mato Grosso). These are the regions that use the product more, mainly in extensive properties. The molecule Metsulfuron-methyl is the best for the control of this plant,” said Raposo.
For high infestation, the maker recommends spraying in the total area and for an ununiform infestation to spray through a jet directed over the plants. “The control with Mesuram 600 WG totally eliminates the invasive plant, enabling the pasture to express the vegetative potential and bring an increase in the meat and milk production per area,” said the marketing manager of Rotam do Brasil.
