Astec Lifesciences inks pact to supply herbicides

Astec Lifesciences announced that it has entered into a long term mutually exclusive confidential contract to supply herbicide to a multinational agrochemical major.
No other details were provided but the company, in a regulatory filing said the agreement will have a substantial positive impact on its agro-chemical business in the coming years.
Astec LifeSciences is engaged in the manufacture and sale of intermediates, active ingredients and formulations in the off patent - proprietary category with a focus on agrochemical and pharmaceutical sector.
Shares of Astec LifeSciences gained Rs 2.4, or 3.63%, to trade at Rs 68.60. The total volume of shares traded was 187,421 at the BSE (10.00 a.m., Monday).
