After an evaluation of efficiency and practicability of fungicide Orbis, Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) has authorized its registration in the country.
The fungicide has tebuconazol in its composition and belongs to the triazole chemical group.
According to maker BR.A Agroquímica, the fungicide has an Emulsifiable Concentrate formulation and a concentration of 200g/L. “Orbis is a systemic fungicide of the triazole chemical group, characterized by the action mechanism called Ergosterol Biosynthesis Inhibitor. It presents preventive and healing action on biological targets that cause considerable damage to several crop productions," the company pointed out.
The fungicide product is indicated for the control of plagues on crops such as pineapple, poplar, onion, peanuts, rice, oven, banana, potato, beet, cocoa, coffee, garlic, carrot, barley, citrus, chrysanthemum, kidney beans, fig, gladiolus, guava, papaya, mango, passion fruit, watermelon, melon, corn, strawberry, cucumber, peach, rose, soybeans, sorghum, tomato, wheat, and grapes.
According to the legal opinion of Mapa, there was no registration of symptoms of phytotoxicity in the reports submitted. According to the official evaluation, the dose proposed by BR.A was considered favorable.
The product has package options containing one, five, and 200 litres. BR.A Agroquímica company has 100 per cent Brazilian capital and operates in fields of agricultural pesticides and vegetable nutrition.
It is headquartered in Piracicaba, in the state of São Paulo, and has its products sold in the entire national territory through a network of distributors. Its activities started in 2004.
“The focus is to generate innovative solutions for development of the Brazilian farm business,” the BR.A stated.
