Broadway Sunrise from Dow AgroSciences, contains pyroxsulam+pendimethalin to provide both contact and residual activity against wild oats, rye-grass, bromes and black-grass. Broad-leaved
weeds controlled include charlock, common chickweed, common field speedwell, field pansy, cranesbill, ivy-leaved speedwell, volunteer beans and volunteer oilseed rape.
Dow is positioning the new herbicide for autumn use, as part of a programme, with optimum application timing at the 1-3 leaf stage of target grass-weeds and between crop growth stages 11-29.
Speaking at Cereals, the company’s Stuart Jackson said Broadway Sunrise would be appropriate where black-grass was one component of a mixed weed spectrum.
However, it would not be where it was the driver of a herbicide strategy.
This makes it particularly suitable for the west and north regions.
Recommended application rate of Broadway Sunrise is 3.5 litres/ha delivering 18.9g/ha of pyroxsulam and 1,099g pendimethalin.
