BrownfieldAgNews reports:

No changes to the recommended regulations in Arkansas on 2018 dicamba use have been made by the Arkansas State Plant Board or the board's pesticide committee, according to the Arkansas Department of Agriculture spokesperson.

The board met (Wednesday) to consider a request from a subcommittee of the Arkansas Legislative Council to reconsider its recommendations on "scientific-based evidence", "a line creating northern and southern zones in the state," and ambient temperature and humidity as they relate to temperature inversions at night.

Both the plant board and committee voted to maintain the regulations as written, which prohibit the use of dicamba herbicides after April 15th, 2018.

What happens now? The proposed regulations will be considered by the Administrative Rules and Regulations subcommittee of the Arkansas Legislative Council AGAIN, on January 16th.

Arkansas' process is more complicated than most other states.
