Attendees of the Fifth Annual Exceed the Seed® Symposium applauded the information-sharing event for its quality speakers and diverse content about developing technologies in seed treatment. The Symposium is an initiative of AgriThority®, an agricultural science consultancy focused on accelerating new technologies to commercialization in markets around the world.
This year's event was held on December 4th at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago prior to the ASTA CSS 2017 & Seed Expo. A record attendance was on hand to see presentations on synthetic and biological technologies from DowDuPont, Incotec, Pivot Bio and Pro Farm Technologies. AgriThority presented the collective philosophy and advanced analytics the company applies to product development on behalf of clients around the world. Representatives from 37 companies in seed production, technology, research and education participated in the event.
In line with previous years, Exceed the Seed received high ratings from attendees and presenters alike. Feedback rated this year's Symposium EXCELLENT, averaging a 4.33 out of five for its quality content. Speaker quality was rated as a 4.5 out of five and the informative value of the event was also high, receiving a 4.4 out of five.
The Symposium was recognized not only for its agenda, featuring global perspectives on seed applied technologies, but also its networking opportunities for executives in the industry. Feedback was shared through survey cards submitted after the event.
Following the morning presentations was a roundtable discussion about the continued innovation in seed treatment as the landscape has changed with partnerships, collaborations, mergers and acquisitions. Will Polese, MarketsandMarkets, presented data on seed treatment market growth, industry trends and the source of future innovations. Panelists shared their thoughts on the future of the industry based on their varied backgrounds and experience.
