DuPont has received US approval for a four-way herbicide combination for post-emergence use on wheat, barley and triticale. Agility SG (dicamba 63.6% + thifensulfuron-methyl 4.7% + tribenuron-methyl 2.4% + metsulfuron-methyl 1.9%) controls more than 80 broadleaf weeds when applied at 1.6-3.2 oz/acre (0.1-0.2 kg/ha), DuPont says. The product combines two modes of action to provide broad-spectrum weed control in a single formulation without the need for tank-mixing, the company points out. The TotalSol soluble granules provide more consistent weed control and easier spray tank cleaning than other formulations, it adds.
