Fuhua Agricultural Science Investment Group and Evonik Industries AG have signed an agreement for strategic partnership on November 9, 2017, in Leshan, Sichuan. The agreement was signed by Zhang Hua, Chairman of Fuhua Group, and Claas-Jürgen Klasen, President of Evonik Asia Pacific North.
Evonik Industries AG is the largest special chemicals enterprise, headquartered in Germany. The signing of the agreement marks a new beginning of cooperation between the two parties. To meet the demand from the Chinese market, both sides will expedite the feasibility of cooperative production supported by the advantages of each side.
According to the agreement, in the next three to five years, Evonik Industries AG and Fuhua Group will expand their existing businesses and develop new ones. Both sides have decided to promote exchanges in more depth with respect to innovative research, new processes and technical applications, including the start of cooperation with third parties.
Dr Klasen said that China had become the second largest economy in the world, as well as the second largest and the fastest growing market for special chemicals. It is the objective of Evonik Industries AG to cooperate with excellent Chinese enterprises on a win-win basis. Dr Klasen emphasized that the partnership with Fuhua was the first solid step towards this objective.
Fuhua Agricultural Science Investment Group is one of China’s top 500 private-run enterprises. Hua stressed that continued technical innovation was the only way for Fuhua to achieve sustainable development. The cooperation with Evonik Industries AG will greatly enhance its research capacity and the competitive edge of Fuhua. The signing of the agreement will help upgrade Fuhua’s research and development capacity.
