BASF France Agro has just obtained the approval of Jubilé®, a sulfur-based DF specialty for cereals. Sulfur is included in the list of biocontrol products. Associated with Juventus® (metconazole), they form the first offer of BASF including a biocontrol product in cereal fungicides, for T1 (the first fungicide treatment) targeting septoria, rusts and powdery mildew. The Juventus® + Jubilé® pack is launched for the 2017/2018 campaign.
Metconazole is the molecule that progresses most in market share in 2016/2017 and its effectiveness septoria and rust is very recognized.
Sulfur, contained in Jubilé®, historically developed on oidium of cereals, has been studied in recent years for its activity on wheat septoria. The results of the association of 0.7 l/ha of Juventus® and 2.1 to 2.9 kg/ha of Jubilé® are very good, the association would reach the same levels of performance as the ‘triazoles + chlorothalonil’.
Jubilé® is offered with Juventus® in the context of practical and easy-to-use packs for farmers, treating around 7 hectares (5 liters of Juventus® + 15 kg of Jubilé®).
