'The registration of Nesibug, Ercal, Spical, Spidex, Aphipar, Miglyphus and Swirski-Mite represents a major breakthrough in biocontrol for the Saudi market,' says Sadek Al-Ramadan, CEO of local distributor Alyaseen Agri.
'Koppert Biological Systems has a proven track record with these seven products and we are here to give growers the best advice on how to use them in their greenhouses and outdoor crops.'
In partnership with Alyaseen Agri, Koppert will inform growers about integrated pest management (IPM) and other biological systems that play a vital role to ensure better crop yields and safer food production.
Local distributor Alyaseen Agri and Koppert signed a partnership deal in the Netherlands four years ago and have invested in the development of the IPM market in Saudi Arabia ever since. The objective is to encourage sustainable farming practices and promote a culture of safe farming methods that support the government's food safety and food security objectives. Considerable success has also been achieved with Koppert's bumblebees for both greenhouse and outdoor pollination in this region.
