Valley® Irrigation, The Leader in Precision Irrigation®, a division of Valmont® Industries, Inc. (NYSE: VMI), announced the promotions of Jodi Wacker to vice president of global human resources – Irrigation and Tubing, and Darren Siekman to vice president of global business development – Irrigation and Tubing.
“Both Jodi and Darren bring an enormous amount of energy and knowledge to Valley Irrigation,” says Len Adams, group president of Global Irrigation. “Jodi is an integral part to the success of our organization. Not only does she ensure we are capturing the best talent in the industry, but as they develop in their individual role, she fosters an environment so they can exceed to the best of their abilities.” Adams continues, “Darren’s acumen for partnership development and his tenacity will continue to drive our business forward. The goal is to collaborate and connect with the best products to serve our growers.”
Wacker joined Valmont Industries in 2014 as the North American Irrigation human resources manager. Two years later, she became senior director of Global Human Resources. In her new role, she partners with leaders within domestic and international divisions for Irrigation, Tubing and Shared Services to provide direction for the Global Irrigation business. She is responsible for managing all functions and activities necessary to recruit, retain and develop the company’s workforce.

Siekman originally joined the team in 2014 to lead a joint development between Valmont and DuPont®, which included product development, product launch, manufacturing and sales. In 2016, Darren became director of business development for Global Irrigation and Tubing. In his new position, Darren is responsible for acquisitions, partnerships and joint venture opportunities to drive growth and technology advancement for the organization.
“In the role of vice president, I plan to emphasize the global nature of our business,” Siekman explains. “Our new leadership is sending a message to our customers, dealers and partners that we are focused on growth – bringing technology and agriculture together to be a true solutions provider.”
