UPL has announced the launch of Sperto insecticide (acetamiprid + bifenthrin) during the Andav Congress, which held on August 14-16 in São Paulo, Brazil. According to the maker, it is a multi-use insecticide, which can control major plagues, and has high selectivity towards natural enemies and will not unbalance the population of mites.
“Sperto is a unique combination of two active ingredients, which work together to control insects effectively in several crops. On soybean, corn and cotton, it completes the portfolio of UPL insecticides,” explained Rogério Rangel, marketing director of UPL.
He remarked that UPL had grown 40% in the last year and wanted to take advantage of the Andav Congress to show its expansion and portfolio. Besides Sperto, the company will present two more launches this year: herbicide Fascinate (glufosinate-ammonium salt) and the insecticide Start (fipronil) for seed treatment.
“UPL recognizes the importance of collaborating with distributors to serve the Brazilian farmers and, for that purpose, supports the initiatives undertaken by Andav for the development of the sector. It is a pleasure to participate in this Congress, which is an important event for Brazilian agriculture,” stated Rangel.
