Dow AgroSciences has registered its herbicide Enlist Duo® (2,4-D choline + glyphosate) in Brazil for the control of weeds in GM corn and soybeans.
According to the maker, the combination of the two modes of action of the product will eliminate hard to control wide leave weeds.
The deferment of the request was published in the Official Union Gazette on June 26 this year, with the allowance of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply with the No. 16,617.
Dow recommends Enlist Duo for controlling post-emergency of weeds in the pre-planting total area and post-emergency area of weeds. It is also indicated for the no-tillage system, for the management of desiccation for genetically-modified corn and soybeans crops resistant to 2,4-D and glyphosate.
During the last week, Dow’s Enlist corn received an approval for imports from the European Commission. Therefore, it increases the list of countries that are authorized for the entrance and sales of transgenic cereal, which also included China - the fourth largest global importer of corn - last month.
Dow AgroSciences reaffirmed on July 7 its plans to launch Enlist in Canada for the 2018 season.
