Prentiss registers herbicide DUO in Brazil

ChinaPrentiss Química has registered the herbicide DUO (diuron+hexazinone) in Brazil for the selective control of weeds in post-emergency and pre-emergency in sugarcane crops. Presented in the form of dispersible granules, the product shows contact and residual action.
The deferment of the request was published on June 27 at the Official Union Gazette, with the allowance of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply, under the No. 13217.
Among the weeds controlled by DUO of Prentiss Química are Joyweeds (Alternanthera tenella), Verdolaga (Portulaca oleracea), Surinam Grass (Brachiaria decumbens), Southern Sandbur (Cenchrus echinatus), Large Crabgrass (Digitaria horizontalis), Green Amaranth (Amaranthus hybridus) and Morning Glory (Ipomoea purpurea).
The Brazilian company, with a factory in Campo Largo, state of Paraná, has a manufacturing area of 4,200 square meters for the formulation of herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. It belongs to the Tide Group, one of the major Chinese agricultural companies headquartered in Hangzhou.
