Bayer has registered the herbicide Provence Total (indaziflam + isoxaflutole) in Brazil, which is used to control weeds in sugarcane.
The deferment of the registration was published on May 18 this year in the Official Union Gazette with the allowance of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, under the No. 8,317.
According to the maker, Provence Total is a selective and systemic herbicide with a terrestrial application, to be used against black-jack (Bidens pilosa), painted euphorbia (Euphorbia heterophylla), signal grass (Brachiaria plantaginea), and the panicgrass (Panicum maximum).
According to Bayer, for new plantings of sugarcane, the recommendation is the application of herbicide after planting, in pre-emergence of the crop and weeds. For application on ratoon cane, the indication is to make applications of Provence Total right after harvest, for the pre-emergence of crop and weeds.
