Moreover, ThaSTA will be on hand for advice and consultation on opportunities for the business of seed trade in the Kingdom for all of our international guests.
Venue Confirmed
Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park was confirmed as the venue for this year’s Congress last week following a rigorous selection process that considered several potential venues.
Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is conveniently located in downtown Bangkok.
The change of the host venue, city and co-organizers of this year’s Congress, initially planned to be held at the Marriott Manila, was prompted after the property in May informed APSA of anticipated travel restrictions being imposed ahead of the 31st ASEAN Summit.
The high-profile regional government meeting, originally scheduled to be held in Clark, the Philippines 10-14 November, is now planned to be held in Manila instead, and the government requires the property to host the function, APSA was informed.
Nonetheless, APSA Executive Director, Heidi Gallant was ecstatic in confirming Bangkok as the new venue, which is conveniently located in the heart of the Thai capital.
“I am delighted to be working with the Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park as the host venue of the Asian Seed Congress 2017 Bangkok, Thailand.
“We chose this venue due to the layout of their event space, keeping in mind that our members wish to completely fill their congress schedule with business meetings. The trading tables, booths, meeting rooms and technical sessions are all located quite close to each other,” she said.
“The social programs will also be hosted in the same space and the hotel can accommodate all of our delegates with brand new, beautiful 5-star hotel rooms at an excellent, competitive rate, as long as they book their rooms early. We are really looking forward to hosting ASC in our home country!”
Roger Parnow, Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing for three Marriott Thailand properties, including Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, echoed the enthusiasm for this year’s Congress.
“Having the opportunity to host the APSA Seed Congress 2017, it is a great honor for the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. We are confident that the event will be a great success and are excited to welcome the participants who will experience our renowned Marriott Marquis service and facilities,” he said.
