The world record high-speed planter Väderstad Tempo, delivers an exceptional precision at very high speed. With new features, the planter is now able to enhance the results even further.
Different field conditions sets varying requirements on a planter. To maintain an optimised row unit pressure and seed depth at all times, the Tempo models can be equipped with hydraulic weight transfer as an option.
- The hydraulic weight transfer on each row unit, allows the driver to adjust the pressure applied very precisely. With the ability to apply either a positive or negative pressure, this enables great possibilities to ensure the best start possible for a wide range of seed types in differing field conditions, says Jörgen Dahl, Product manager planters at Väderstad.
The hydraulic weight transfer is easily controlled via the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control on the go from the tractor cab.
Floating row cleaners
To ensure exact row cleaning results adapted to individual field conditions, all Tempo models can be fitted with a new Väderstad floating row cleaner.
- Each row cleaner is mounted on a parallel linkage, enabling it to precisely follow the field surface. The working intensity is easily configured with a spring, which makes it possible to either add or relieve pressure from the row cleaner, says Jörgen Dahl.
The row cleaner is fitted with a self-cleaning rubber wheel, controlling the depth setting of the high quality spiked row cleaner disc.
- With optimised working angles, the floating row cleaners are designed to perfectly match the speed and precision of the Tempo planter, says Jörgen Dahl.
The hydraulic weight transfer and floating row cleaners for Väderstad Tempo will be in production from the beginning of June 2017.
