Aquatrols - the world's largest manufacturer of cutting-edge soil surfactants and related technologies - has named Meggie Gilbert as Agricultural Business Manager.
Gilbert joins Aquatrols with considerable experience in agricultural sales, marketing and strategic management. In her new role, she is responsible for charting Aquatrols' direction of servicing crop growers nationwide and key initiatives to further position its products as "must haves."
The appointment signals Aquatrols' continued focus on the agricultural market, specifically in California where water-use efficiency is paramount. Approximately a year ago, the state department of water resources issued an Executive Order and best management practices to bolster climate and drought resistance, as well as use of innovative technologies like Aquatrols for water conservation and energy efficiency.
"Growing up on an almond ranch in California, I saw firsthand the importance of water and other resource preservation," says Gilbert. "Aquatrols' technologies are all about optimizing inputs and that's a goal the entire agriculture industry shares."
Most recently Water Logic Services Manager at Simplot, Gilbert specialized in identifying growth opportunities and implementing efficiencies in product line management. Previously, she was Northern California District Manager for Syngenta.
"Meggie's impressive resume speaks to her talent and understanding of this market," says Aquatrols' newly appointed President and CEO Matt Foster. "She will play a significant role in Aquatrols furthering its business in the domestic agricultural business as well as identifying future global opportunities."
Gilbert rounds out Aquatrols' new leadership team since the business was acquired by Rural American Fund in 2015. Streamlined operations, an aggressive research and development plan, and expanded product distribution are contributing to the company's unprecedented momentum.
Popular Aquatrols products include Revolution, Dispatch, Aqueduct and a suite of complementary surfactants essential to golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, landscapers, farmers and other growers. Each solution helps optimize soil-water-plant interactions in various agronomic conditions.
