On the May 20, ICAMA of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture announced the latest number of registrations to be approved, which include the Cycolxylidin technical 95 percent of Sichuan Hebang Biotechnology, the Cyflufenamid technical 98 percent of Nippon Soda Ltd, the Cyenopyrafen technical 95 percent of Nissan Chemical Industries Ltd.
Here are brief introductions to the three products:
Cycolxylidin
Cycolxylidin is a neonicotinoid insecticide featured for its broad spectrum, novel structure, non-pollution, low toxicity, high efficacy, being a product of proprietary intellectual property rights as developed jointly by the Wuhan Institute of Technology and Wuhan Zhongxin Chemical Ltd. The field efficacy trials have proved its good effect on pest control. Sichuan Hebang Biotechnology owns exclusively the patent rights for Cycolxylidin and an exclusive registration certificate.

In June 2016, Hebang announced launch of its annual 2,000-ton Cycolxylidin technical project and an annual 5,000-ton Cycolxylidin 10 percent powder project, with a construction period of one year.
Cyflufenamid
Cyflufenamid is a novel parent structure-based fungicide developed by Nippon Soda Ltd., and is very effective for the control of vegetables and wheat powdery mildew, as well as effective for the control of peach scab. Its compound patent expired in 2015.
the chemical structure of cyflufenamid
Cyflufenamid inhibits the formation and growth of the mitogenetichaustorium from the hypha of powdery mildew, as well as the growth of secondary hypha and formation of hapteron. However, Cyflufenamidhas has no function in spore germination, growth of germinal tube and formation of hapteron. Cyflufenamid has an excellent protective and curative activity, with long-lasting effect, and is resistant to rain wash. There is no cross resistance with the currently used fungicides, such as Morpholines, Triazoles and Pyrilamines.
Cyenopyrafen
Cyenopyrafen is a novel pyrazole miticide launched by Nissan Chemical Industries Ltd. in 2009, which was registered in Japan and Korea, with the trade names Starmite and Valuestar. The product has a novel action mechanism, without cross resistance to currently used insecticides or miticides, being used for various pest mites on fruit and tea trees and vegetables.

With people’s increasing safety demand for environment and farm products, the upgrade and update of pesticide is accelerating step by step. The use of old miticide products in China, such as Dicofol and Chlordimeform have been prohibited due to safety and resistance concerns. The other relatively safe and effective miticide products, such as Ebufenpyrad, Pyridaben and Clofentezine, are also being confronted with the emergence of resistance due to long time use.
Cyenopyrafen is low toxic, low dosage, and has a broad spectrum, which is a new choice for the purpose of alternative use of miticide. Its novel action mechanism provides effective control against resistant pest mites.
