By Think Real - On 22 March, 2017, Chinese agrochemical company Shandong Sino-Agri United Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Shandong Sino-Agri) went listed on the New Third Board (=National Equities Exchange and Quotations, NEEQ).
Shandong Sino-Agri is the world’s largest neonicotinoid pesticide technical manufacturer and is the only domestic full-chain imidacloprid and acetamiprid manufacturer. In addition to pesticide technical, the company also produces pesticide formulations including insecticides, acaricides and fungicides (=100+ products), with a production capacity of 10,000 t/a.
Shandong Sino-Agri is the “vice-president” organisation of the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA) and the “resident” organisation of the Shandong Crop Protection Industry Association, and meanwhile is the “vice-leader” of the CCPIA’s imidacloprid coordination team.

In 2015, Shandong Sino-Agri obtained temporary registrations for its 98% fluoride ether bacteria amide TC, and at the same time, for its 50% fluoride ether bacteria amide WG (cucumber downy mildew) and 40% fluoride ether bacteria amide and hexaconazole SC (rice sheath blight).
Fluoride ether bacteria amide (common name: Lianhe No.1 (联合一号) is a new fluorine-enriched benzamide fungicide developed by Shandong Sino-Agri and Shandong Agricultural University in 2010. With an invention patent, it is mainly used to prevent and control cucumber downy mildew, grape downy mildew, phytophthora capsici, penorophythora litchi, potato late blight, rice sheath blight and fusarium wilt. It is a fungi disease fungicide with broad spectrum and high toxicity.
As of January 2017, Shandong Sino-Agri had 3 new projects under operation, including:
• A 5,000 t/a pesticide formulations project and a 2,000 t/a dicamba project: constructed but yet to be finished
• A 200 t/a fomesafen project: approved for construction but yet to start
