PI Industries Ltd Q4FY17 : standalone net profit rises 40.8% yoy

PI Industries standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 606 crore, registering 3.8% yoy increase.
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 41.7% yoy to Rs. 154 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 682 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 25.4%. This margin expansion was aided by 13.4% and 12 yoy decline in cost of material consumed and other expenses respectively.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 135 crore, yoy increase of 40.8%. This was mainly due to tax credit of Rs. 5.25 crore against the 2% effective tax rate in corresponding quarter of last year.
Looking at full year numbers, we see that revenue for FY17 increased 8.6% yoy to Rs. 2276 crore and EBITDA for the period jumped by 28.2% yoy to Rs. 551 crore. Also, in net profit company registered significant growth of 47.7% yoy to reach Rs. 457 crore.
