Rijk Zwaan presents solution against powdery mildew in peppers

The stand of Rijk Zwaan perfectly serves to illustrate the situation at the current edition of Infoagro Exhibition, and not only because its powerful image is the first thing that visitors see when going through the main door.

Juan Ramón Rodríguez, Head of Marketing and Quality Control at Rijk Zwaan Ibérica, commented on Friday that this edition is managing to attract more people. Visitors from the West, from the Levant but also from the coast of Granada have filled the stand of the seed house, attracted by proposals as interesting as the LT Defense line, which identifies the pepper varieties that are resistant to powdery mildew.

In this regard, Rodríguez explains that this is a real breakthrough; very important for pepper specialists, because it allows them, among other things, to better respond to the quality requirements of the distribution chains.

The head of Rijk Zwaan explains that the firm wished to showcase innovative solutions to the problems that growers are facing, which is why they are also presenting a courgette variety, the Calabonita RZ, which also has resistance to powdery mildew.

Aubergines are also on the spotlight at Rijk Zwaan with two excellent varieties: the Yolanda RZ and Angela RZ. Overall, a number of very attractive products displayed on a table allow Rodríguez to explain the efforts of Rijk Zwaan to deliver innovations conceived as a result of a permanent study of consumer trends. This is the case of the hot pepper Avital RZ or the complete range of Bluelife cucumbers.
