ECHA consults on chlorfenapyr and cyphenothrin as candidates for substitution

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) invites public consultation to decide if two non-crop insecticides, chlorfenapyr and cyphenothrin could be the candidates for substitution.
Chlorfenapyr is an insecticide for the control of ants for professional use. The biocidal product is applied by spraying surfaces indoors or structures and their immediate surroundings outdoors (soil around houses or structures).
Cyphenothrin is intended for indoor professional use to be used against crawling insect pests such as cockroaches and ants.
The public consultation lasts for 60 days and will close on June 20.
