DLF Pickseed Canada and Moore Seeds are pleased to announce that a letter of intent has been signed whereby DLF Pickseed Canada will acquire Moore Seeds.
Moore Seeds, located in Debolt, Alberta, has significant market share presence in the Peace River turfgrass and forage crop seed production area, with sales across the Canadian, USA and European export markets.
“I feel that DLF Pickseed Canada will provide strong management succession for Moore Seeds when I retire in a few years. In the meantime, we are excited in becoming part of the DLF organization and seeking synergies through their global leadership in market share and research and development,” says Raymond Walker, President.
“Moore Seeds represents a significant addition and a highly complementary fit for DLF Pickseed Canada,” says Rob Clark, President and CEO. “We are looking forward to working with Raymond and the MooreSeeds team who will continue as a separate entity operating as DLF Moore Seeds.”
The acquisition remains subject to the satisfaction of closing conditions, and has an expected closing date in July 2017. The parties shall not disclose any financial details of the transaction.
DLF Pickseed Canada was formed in 2013 when DLF acquired Pickseed Canada and Pickseed USA.
