Agrinos is one of only 16 global entrepreneurial companies chosen to take part in a newly launched Unreasonable Goals program that will leverage market forces for the purpose of solving some of the world’s toughest challenges.
The program is a partnership between governments, multinationals and theUnreasonable Group. It is dedicated to addressing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals identified in 2015 by world leaders at the United Nations, and aims to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change by 2030.
The program organizers believe that problem solvers like Agrinos, entrepreneurial organizations with cutting-edge technologies and the ability to scale-up quickly, are best positioned to deliver solutions that can measurably impact the Sustainable Development Goals.
Agrinos’ mission most closely aligns with the second sustainable development goal: End hunger – achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
“The agricultural solutions and technologies developed by Agrinos can help deliver higher yields across a wide-range of crops around the world,” said Ry Wagner, Agrinos CEO. “Agrinos products also have a key role in improving the nutritional content and commercial value of crops, which is critical to sustainable agriculture and the Sustainable Development Goals.”
Sustainability is at the heart of the value Agrinos offers to growers, retailers, consumers and all stakeholders throughout the food and agricultural product supply chain. By discovering, developing and producing new technologies that harness the power of naturally derived bio-compounds and microorganisms, Agrinos provides biological crop inputs that simultaneously deliver tangible environmental benefits and substantive financial returns for growers.
CEO Wagner will participate in the inaugural program scheduled for July 2017.
