DLF appoints Jens Holstborg as new Managing Director in Danespo

DLF appoints Jens Holstborg as new Managing Director in Danesp. Jens Holstborg is currently employed as Managing Director for DSV Seed Denmark, a part of the Deutsche Saatveredelung (DSV) -Group. Jens is the successor of Steen Bitsch, who is taking up a new position as CEO in Vestjyllands Andel.

Jens Holstborg is 47 years old and has a Master in Dairy Science and Technology from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen. After graduation in 1995 Jens was employed in Danisco, and at his resignation in 2008 he was Director for Business Development and Marketing in the Gums and Systems Division. In 2008 Jens Holstborg was employed as Managing Director of Hunsballe Frø, which changed name to DSV Frø Denmark in 2013 due to DSV’s acquisition. Since 2015 Jens has as well been the Division Director for DSV’s international divison for Grasses and Cover Crops. In private life Jens Holstborg is married to Rikke and has 2 children, a daughter of 12 years and a son of 8 years. The family is living in Aarhus.

Danespo is breeding, producing and trading seed and ware potatoes. 80% of the seed potatoes are exported whereas the ware potatoes are sold to the home market and the other Scandinavian countries under the brand of Danespo food.
