Arysta Fly project, Arysta LifeScience's innovative initiative for aerial observation in sugarcane fields, consists of helicopter panoramic flights to check fields, farms, areas of success or failure to control the main weeds, as well as aerial observation of pests and diseases in  planting areas for 18 months, making it possible to analyze the quality of the plant and take action on time, if necessary. The result is a clear, reliable and determinant survey that generates a report with high resolution images of sugarcane to assist sugarcane entrepreneurs and suppliers in the decision-making of sugarcane producing areas.

The project has been carried out by Arysta for five years and is expected to map about 70 sugarcane planting areas in Brazil by 2017. For this, the company has planned investments 25% higher than last year. There are scheduled flights to São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Goiás, Sergipe, Alagoas, Pernambuco and Paraíba.

"Our goal is to offer customers the mapping and diagnosis of cane fields, providing complete mapping of difficult-to-control weeds, such as viola rope, merremia, mucuna and castor bean, among others, so that correct weed management can be done, moreover, also providing a diagnosis of possible plagues and planting failures. Farmers have a better view of the whole to decide when to use the best herbicide solutions, "says Lucas Rona, sugarcane & pasture marketing manager at Arysta LifeScience.

Arysta LifeScience has been investing in Brazilian agriculture for more than four decades, committing itself to the development of high quality products and services that contribute to the sustainable growth of the activity. Among the highlights of the product line are Dinamic® (amicarbazone), an effective herbicide for difficult weed control, which interferes with sugarcane productivity, and Biozyme®, a biostimulant efficient in reducing planting failure and one of those responsible for increasing productivity in sugarcane.
