Summit Agro announced the launch of Tenchu, a new green brand insecticide for the control of whitefly in tomato. Its active ingredient, dinotefuran, belongs to the group of 3rd generation neonicotinoids.
To act against the harmful organisms contracted by contact and ingestion, it affects the central nervous system of insects, as an analog of Acetylcholine (ACh), affecting an Ach receptor protein in the postsynaptic membrane. This causes paralysis and the subsequent death of the pest.
Its high solubility gives it systemic and translaminar activities, protecting the crop in an integral way from pre-transplantation.
It could control adult and nymph whitefly due to its up to three weeks persistence residual effect after application with low impacts on beneficial fauna.
Tenchu provides high safety for users and the environment due to its excellent toxicological profile suitable for all types of productions: greenhouse and field.
It is also compatible with fungicides commonly used in the market.
