By Think Real - On 20 Jan., 2017, the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture of China (ICAMA) published the first batch of pesticides in 2017 whose registrations are planned to be approved, which covers the first registration of 96% guadipyr technical by Hefei Xingyu Chemical Co., Ltd. (Hefei Xingyu).
The new insecticide guadipyr is developed by the China Agricultural University (CAU) who constructs the active structure of neonicotinoids (imidacloprid as a representative) and semicarbazone (indoxacarb as a representative) into the same molecule to acquire a new highly effective chemical compound featured with the features of both.

Guadipyr can be used to prevent and control various pests. Field tests prove that the product boasts good prevention and control effect on aphids, rice planthoppers, cotton bollworms and beet armyworms.
Hefei Xingyu got the exclusive authorization by the CAU in 2008 to start researching the commercial production of the product. In March 2011, the company officially initiated the registration work of guadipyr technical and formulations and conducted related experiment. In addition to the technical specification mentioned above, the 20% guadipyr SC has also entered registration process for the first time for the prevention and control of rice planthoppers.
