FMC Agricultural Solutions has launched a new formulation for Boral 500 SC (Sulfentrazone), a selective herbicide which is not volatile when it comes to controlling a wide spectrum of wide leaves weeds, grass and cyperaceae.
Boral 500 SC has been widely used for more than 20 years and promotes excellent residual control of broad and narrow leaf weeds, and it is the main reference in the control of tereza in Brazil.
Now, the product will rely on more sustainable components that have been added, such as Sodium Lignosulfonate, a dispersant extracted from wood which makes the composition of the product highly stable. Besides, there was an exchange of inert antifreeze components, bringing even higher stability to the formulation and maintaining the same effectiveness.
According to the Herbicides Manager at FMC, Kedilei Duarte, the major crops where this product can be applied are sugarcane, soybeans, coffee, citrus and tobacco. “The FMC has a futuristic outlook and is focused on the evolution and technologies in this sector. This product is one more proof of the company’s proactive work. It invests in solutions to enhance quality and promote excellent results,” assured Duarte.
