On the occasion of Fruit Logistica 2017, Arysta LifeScience presented the company’s broad product portfolio and plans to meet strict criteria of the food chain for high quality fruits and vegetables.

"Arysta has recently integrated a number of complementary businesses that now operate within a unified structure, sharing common goals and values," says José Nobre, CEO and president of Arysta LifeScience for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). "The success of that integration has given farmers and growers access to more innovative products than ever before. Considering the number of changes that have occurred in our business, we wanted to communicate how the 'new' Arysta EMEA is benefitting both existing and future customers. The company appreciates the opportunity to highlight our strong market position and our strategic plans for fruit and vegetable markets."

Competence Center for BioScience

Based on Arysta’s own R&D resources in Europe, the company’s BioSolutions stand for new dimensions and a new way of thinking in Integrated Crop Management (ICM). In addition to seed treatments, growth regulators and a broad spectrum of insecticides, herbicides and fungicides, the company’s portfolio also includes BioStimulants, BioControl and Innovative Nutrients. In cooperation with numerous partners around the globe, the innovation footprint is characterized by more than 6,000 registrations. "Our integrated portfolio of crop protection products and BioSolutions will play a significant role in advancing quality and quantity of the EMEA agricultural production," said Jozef Michrina, EMEA Marketing Director. "We aspire to be known and respected as a company that sets new standards in crop production by applying bioscience in agriculture."

Arysta's investments in development activities ensure a strong pipeline of new innovative products. "We are making considerable advances in new product development," said Garth Drury, R&D Director for Arysta LifeScience in EMEA. "These are evident in the BioSolutions product category, for example, and in emerging concepts like agriculture decision support systems and applications—collectively known as digital farming— in which technology supports and enhances traditional farming practices. And, in the immediate future, we will introduce our new integrated crop spraying program, which protects and promotes crop yield and quality, while meeting the most stringent public and regulatory requirements.

Gaining further momentum

"Our mission is to cultivate prosperity of the whole society through advanced agriculture," adds Michrina.  "Arysta has a solid reputation for listening to its customers and creating unique solutions as a result. The company is confident that its BioSolutions offering, combined with plant protection products and innovative services, will lead to the development of low-residue spray programs for fruits and vegetables."

Mega Trends in Agriculture and Food Chain Approach

Efficacy, low residues, resistance management, high quality yields and sustainable development characterize some of the mega trends in agriculture. “This is why focus on development of biocontrol and biostimulant products," says Aleksandra Trampczynska, Marketing Manager for BioSolutions at EMEA. "Looking at problems and solutions from the food chain perspective, we are able to meet the new needs of farmers,  growers, food chain industry and the general public more effectively.”
