Syngenta’s Elatus Era approved in Ireland

Elatus Era, a new SDHI fungicide from Syngenta, based on the novel active ingredient Solantenol in co-formulation with prothioconazole, has been registered in Ireland ahead of the 2017 season.

Billy Cotter, Syngenta Sales Manager, said the fungicide has demonstrated excellent activity on key ‘wet weather’ diseases.

“This fungicide gives growers an additional tool to optimise yield and quality across the full spectrum of cereal crops.

“Our trials have demonstrated that Elatus Era can deliver the highest levels of disease control and superior yields to currently available products.”

Elatus Era is registered for use on wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale for the control of all major cereal diseases, to use as part of a crop protection programme.

“With hundreds of field trials carried out in Ireland and across Europe since 2011, Elatus Era has proven itself to consistently deliver yield benefits due to its ability to enhance green leaf area, in addition to its excellent activity on all major cereal diseases.

“It’s performed well in both high and low disease pressure years, and across multiple locations, varieties and crops.

“We’re delighted to have registration confirmed so that we can now deliver this fungicide innovation to the market,” Cotter said.
