DuPont Pioneer products for the summer soybean crop in Brazil in 2017 will be incorporated with Intacta RR2 Pro technology. The announcement about the commercial launch of the product came Tuesday. The aim is to supply seeds that have tolerance for the glyphosate herbicide and help control major caterpillars that attack the soybean crop through Bt protein (Cry1Ac).
“The launch of soybean cultivars under the Pioneer brand, incorporated with the technology Intacta RR2 Pro, was something our customers wanted. This will allow us to offer safer and productive products that have a level of quality with which we have been identified in the market for over 40 years. Now we have more modern products with an architecture of plants that eases management and growth habits that enable higher yields in soybeans,” explained marketing and communications manager of Pioneer for Brazil and Paraguay, Frederico Barreto.
The company is already working on a plan for a commercial launch of the product, which will be aligned with a campaign aimed at preserving the technology. The producers will be made aware about the importance of adopting “Good Management Practices,” especially for the Effective Structured Refuge as a tool of Insect Resistance Management.
“As soybeans is the major agricultural crop in our country, the company accords it due importance while it positions the product in the market, offering farmers more options,” concluded Barreto.
