Certis Europe and K&N Efthymiadis have announced the creation of a new company, KNE Certis, a joint venture which will serve to bring the experience, expertise and resources of both companies to the development, registration, marketing and distribution of crop protection products in South Eastern Europe. The new joint venture will extend the presence of both companies in the region and will provide potential access to more of the European market, by operating in Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, all countries of the former Yugoslavia, Albania and Cyprus.
The supervisory board of the new company will be shared between Certis and Efthymiadis and will comprise two directors from Certis and three from Efthymiadis. Certis Europe has taken an initial shareholding of 30% in the new company with an intention to increase this shareholding in the future.
Certis Europe CEO Mark Waltham commented; “Certis Europe and K&N Efthymiadis have collaborated together for more than 15 years, so the creation of KNE Certis is logical progression but one that we are excited to be making. KNE Certis will allow both companies to extend our market presence and build on what Vassos Efthymiadis and his team have already established. We are particularly focussed on developing our joint portfolio in vegetable and fruit crops in this growing region”.
K&N Efthymiadis CEO Vassos Efthymiadis added; “Certis Europe and Mitsui & Co have been valued partners for many years and we are pleased to enter into this new phase of our relationship. Working together in this way, we believe that we can bring a fresh new approach to the delivery of innovative crop protection solutions to growers in South Eastern Europe and beyond”.
