The New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) proposes a hearing on an application to import an insecticide to control thrips in onions and the tomato potato psyllid and aphids in potatoes.
The application from ADAMA is to import the insecticide Grizly Max, which contains the active ingredients imidacloprid, novaluron and bifenthrin. These ingredients are already approved for use in New Zealand, but are not approved together in a single formulation.
