Belchim Crop Protection NV and the Croatian national distributor Orchem have entered into a shareholding agreement. Belchim takes a majority part in Orchem. The agreement was signed between Dirk Putteman and Romano Oresic, respective Managing Directors of the two companies, on June 24th 2016.
Orchem is based in Zagreb, Croatia and founded in 2011 by Romano Oresic. Currently, the company employs 12 people and focuses on the national distribution and application of crop protection products. Orchem is invoicing and delivering more than 400 customers, from small retail shops to larger distributors. The new Orchem company will employ 17 people and will optimize the regional organization of Belchim in the West Balkans. Belchim Crop Protection portfolio consists of a wide range of crop protection products including specialties in important European crops like potatoes, vines, orchards, vegetables and corn.
