As a new incentive for the country and the agricultural sector , the Rizobacter Group together with the French company, De Sangosse, have opened Synertech Industries, the new Fertilizer Plant resulting from the strategic Alliance between the two companies, and which required an investment of more than USD 30 million for its construction and preparation , with equal contributions from its partners and the financial assistance of the Ciudad de Buenos Aires Bank and Provincia Bank of Buenos Aires.

The event was attended by President Mauricio Macri, Governor María Eugenia Vidal, the Production Minister Francisco Cabrera, and the Agricultural Minister Ricardo Buryaile; among other national and provincial government employees.

“We are all aware that our challenge is not only to produce more cereals, but also to turn ourselves into the supermarket of the world. We want our branded-foods with added value to reach the entire world because this will multiply employment throughout the country. This plant is much more than a metallic structure, it demonstrates everything Argentineans are capable of doing”, said the President.

For her part, Governor Vidal said, “This plant transmits hope for all it means beyond the investment. The values which the President and I rely on and believe in are present here: the value of effort and progress”.
The new plant, which will work in the Industrial Park of Pergamino, was created with the aim of researching, producing and commercializing the microgranular fertilizer Microstar PZ®, products derived from it and other possible developments in the agricultural fertilizer sector to supply the home market as well as the export market with destinations such as Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile, Central and North America, among others, along with Rizobacter’s exponential growth in the world markets with strong international participation.

“For us, who always rely on good alliances to develop high quality products, this new project makes us feel very proud. On one hand, because we accompany the country’s growth participating in the inflow of foreign currency from companies known worldwide. Also because we are starting to produce in Pergamino and with the latest technology, a fertilizer whose place in the Argentine market is mostly occupied by imported products”, said Ricardo Yapur, Rizobacter’s CEO.

The work required a period of one and a half years, and more than 200 workers, employees and professionals were employed, together with the development of local suppliers. And once in operation, when it reaches its full production potential – projected in five years’ time – it will create more than 100 new jobs and a huge business projection for the new company.

“A good portion of the home fertilizer market is made up of imported products, with the national market having small participation. From there came our decision to invest in the country and locally produce this specialty product. This project has been developed under a policy, which Rizobacter always supports, centered on a belief in growth based on good alliances. In this regard, these new facilities have been built, to accompany the growth of the Argentine agricultural production of grains, due mainly to an increase in the demand from international markets”, highlighted Yapur.
