EU experts fail to agree on Syngenta GM maize

A European Union expert panel failed to agree on Monday on whether to approve imports of a genetically modified maize made by Syngenta, passing the decision to EU farm ministers.
If the ministers cannot adopt a position, the proposal will be sent to the EUs executive European Commission for final adoption, the Commission said in a statement.
