Promip has obtained the official seal of “organic certification” for its all biological products in Brazil – which are enabled by the legislation for the crops of several vegetables, fruits and plants. The recognition is part of the regulation of organic agriculture in the country, create to assure a guarantee of quality of this crop.
"Promip has as a mission to find in the nature solutions to enable a safe, sustainable and high-yield agriculture that can contribute to the improvement of the people’s health in the plant. This way, the certification of biological inputs of Promip can guarantee us to act within this challenging and sustainable market – the organic agriculture,” points out Marcelo Poletti, the company’s CEO.
According to the industry estimates, this organic segment will grow between 30% and 35% in 2016, considering the domestic consumption and exports. This market accounts nearly R$ 2.5 billion. “Brazil, due to its huge biodiversity, is one of the countries with greater potential for the growth of this sort of crop,” says Poletti.
The biological agents line of Promip includes:
NEOMIP MAX and MACROMIP MAX: Effective in different crops, protect any crop from attack of the spotter spider mite. The organisms found in the product attack immediately the eggs, nymphs and adults as predators.
STRATIOMIP: Efficient to control the fungus gnats, the soil plague that generate economic damages in several crops. The application success of this agent was already proven at the cultivated mushrooms.
TRICHOMIP-P: Mainly used for the control of eggs of moth species, it had its species evidenced on the combat of plagues in the crops of corn and soybeans.
TRICHOMIP-G: It was also used at the control off eggs in the species of moths, had its efficiency proven to combat plagues on sugarcane.
