Agrofit is instituted as official system of agchem registration in Brazil

The System of Phytosanitary Agrochemicals (Agrofit) was instituted in Brazil as official system of registration of agrochemical, technical and related products at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply. The decision was published on April 7^th at the Official Union’s Gazette.

The decree defines the administrators of the subordinate to the Department of Agricultural Defense. The agency will do the operational management and the technical management of the system at the scope of the ministry, with the following attributions:

I – To ensure for the continuous suitability of Agrofit to the registration of agrochemicals, technical products and related registered at Mapa.

II – To follow the adequate update of Agrofit, keeping the quality of the information contained.

III – Monitoring the access of the password of Mapa and other agencies.

IV - To deliberate the evolutionary improvements of Agrofit along with the General Coordination of Information Technology – CGTI/SE.

Agrofit will be submitted to the frequent procedures of auditorship. The main goal is to verify the reliability of the data, the operability and the legal requirements of the system and also the working and conformity of the specifications and its conformity with the specifications, technical requisitions, safety rules and documents.
