The Brazilian government has reduced taxes for the imports of two inputs used in the agrochemical industry. The decision is valid since the end of January with the publication of the Camex Resolution No.4 of 2016, and it is a permanent reduction of the taxes of these active ingredients.
One of the inputs benefited is Propargite, which is used for the formulation of acaricides for the crops like cotton, citrus, coffee, apple, strawberry, rose and tomatoes. The item has a rate reduction from 14% to 2%.
The 4-Cloro-alpha, alpha, alpha-trifluor-3, 5-dinitrotoluen also had its tax cut. The item, which is used to make herbicides, had its rate reduced from 14% to 2%.
