Michael Harowitz Named Kocide Business Manager of Certis USAqrcode

The biopesticide company Certis USA names Michael A. Harowitz as its Kocide Business Manager. With his extensive experience in agrichemical sales, Harowitz will direct and guide the U.S. marketing strategies for the Kocide copper fungicide brands that are used by growers of almonds, walnuts, citrus, grapes, tomatoes and other high-value specialty crops. Harowitz will work in-step with the Certis USA sales team to optimize business opportunities and customer relationships throughout the supply chain.
 
Harowitz reports to Jim Black, Certis USA Director of Business Development. Black said, “Through his position, Michael will enable Certis USA to have more consistent contact with key customers, to evaluate current and new market opportunities, and to continue to grow one of the world’s most recognized crop protection brands.” The Kocide family of cupric hydroxide-based fungicides--Kocide® 2000, Kocide® 3000 and ManKocide®--are widely used to treat fungal and bacterial diseases in agricultural crops in more than 60 countries worldwide.
 
Harowitz most recently served as Eastern Regional Manager of Drexel Chemical Company in Palm City, FL. He previously worked in management and sales positions with AgroWise LLC, Winfield Solutions, LLC; Griffin LLC and Bayer Chemical. Harowitz holds a B.S. degree in Animal Science from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He works from his office in Palm City, FL.
