Rizobacte, leading agrochemical company in Argentina, recently announced that Rizospray Extremo achieved good result at all stages of soybean cultivation in Buenos Aires province.
Rizospray Extremo is the most advanced adjuvant technology developed by Rizobacter. Its exclusive formulation includes organosilicons and modified refined vegetable oil (MSO) which ensures the three essential characteristics for an effective application of foliar herbicides, insecticides and fungicides: it is highly moisturizing, penetrating and anti-evaporative.
The optimization of the control of weeds, diseases and insects was verified at all the stages of production of a first soybean crop, including fallow treatments where a greater control was obtained in comparison with the control crop. The efficacy of Rizospray Extremo, was observed again in the applications of pre-emergence crops for weed control, in the treatments for the control of bugs and foliar diseases in R3 and the control of grubs in R5.
As the final result, it is highlighted that in the crops treated with Rizospray Extremo, a difference of 225 Kg/Ha was obtained with respect to the control.
For the test area, extreme weather conditions were sought at the time of carrying out the treatments. This way, for all the applications performed throughout the cultivation cycle the RH was less than 50% and the temperature was greater than 25° C. The dose of RS Extremo added to the sprayings was 0.2 lt/ha.
The results obtained at the different stages were as follows:
– Long fallow application: greater weed control was verified within 10 days after the application (daa) in Viola, Conyza, Lamium and Bowlesia species, showing a higher drying rate. Within 45 daa, the efficacy of the control, in all the species, achieved 100 %.
– Application during the Pre-emergence period: within 8 days after the application a greater control was observed with Rizospray Extremo, showing a higher drying rate. In the case of Quinoa, within 8 daa it achieved 100%. In Conyza the maximum control was achieved within 35 daa and in Digitaria within 15 daa. In Eleusine with Extremo, the control improved within 8 daa, reaching the highest effectiveness at 35 daa.
– Fungicide application + Insecticides: a lower impact of diseases was observed on crops treated with RS Extremo. Technicians attributed this to a possible impact on the residuality of the fungicide, by enhancing penetration under adverse weather conditions (46% RH and 32° C), and to the quantity of the active ingredient that penetrated the leaf. Regarding bug control, it was verified that with Extremo the residuality of the insecticide is preserved.
– Insecticide Application: an improvement was observed in the initial control with RS Extremo. The pressure was low, consequently it quickly achieved 100% control.
At harvest, the results were convincing: Rizospray Extremo versus the control obtained a difference of 225 Kg/Ha. “These types of tests allow measurement of the impact of technology when it comes to analyzing investments and profitability”, highlights the agricultural engineer, Julián Etchegoyen, responsible for the Adjuvants’ line at Rizobacter.
